They will discover the Engineering Design Process in a real-world setting as they test their robots multiple times. Through open and focused exploration, students explore and construct their own roller coasters, catapults, cars, and more! Location: Bond Park Community Center Instructor: Engineering for Kids Fees: $117(R) $147(N) (4 classes) 96970 Sat Oct 22–Nov 12 1:30–3:30 p.m. Winter Wonderland Workshop (age 5–10) Participants will build with LEGO ® and apply engineering, architecture, creativity, and fun to create a magical Winter Wonderland! Build motorized contraptions like snowmobiles, gondolas, and more. We will build a hilltop village complete with slopes for our LEGO ® skiers and sledders and even holiday lighting! Imagination and engineering combine to create motorized and architectural projects such as energy catapults, shield generators, and defense turrets. Teach your dog simple commands such as sit, down, come, and stay. Teach your dog how to walk on a loose leash without pulling, resulting in improved behavior in public as well as at home. This course is for dogs 3½ months and older. In addition, we work on getting their attention without food in your hands! By adding distractions and practicing commands off leash, your dog will improve self-control and make your public outings more fun. Students will investigate the properties of several crazy concoctions and make their own samples of bubbles, play dough, flub, and more! Location: Herbert C.
