This session includes planting in the Hemlock Bluffs' native wildflower gardens and potting up plants to take home to install in your own yard. You'll learn how to make your yard a butterfly and hummingbird oasis. Wear old clothes and be ready to get your hands dirty! Location: Stevens Nature Center at Hemlock Bluffs Fees: $5(R) $7(N) (1 class) 97892 Thu Oct 20 4:30–6 p.m. Hemlock Bluffs Nature Stroll (age 11 & up) Take a guided, leisurely nature walk at Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve. Outdoor Recreation Boating (age 11 & up) Come out to Bond Park and enjoy being on the water. Pedal boats, canoes, and rowboats will be available for use during this time. Bond Metro Park, Boathouse Fees: $7(R) $10(N) (1 class) 97807 Thu Sep 15 4–5:30 p.m. Teambuilding Fun (age 11 & up) Come experience fun with your friends and enjoy activities that stimulate teamwork, encourage cooperation, instill trust, and bolster confidence. Structured activities are presented in an outdoor learning facility at Bond Park's Challenge Course. This program is designed specifically for individuals with special needs. Participants must be able to communicate and move independently over uneven terrain. Caregivers and parents welcome! Location: Fred G. Ride the 35-foot-high, 200-foot-long zip line in Bond Park! Harnesses, helmets, and other safety gear are used to keep participants safe.
