November Cary Town Band: Election Day Friday, November 4 | 7:30 p.m. | Free Cary Arts Center Election Day is coming, and it is only appropriate that the band celebrate this quadrennial occasion. There's presidential music (a polonaise) and congressional music (marches); donkey music (a serenade) and elephant music (a walk or a parade); and music representing places our elected officials have to deal with. Join us as we prepare for this year's Election Day. Triangle Wind Ensemble: Odysseys Saturday, November 12 | 7:30 p.m. Adults $15; Students & Children (12 & under) $5 Cary Arts Center Romance and tragedy are on the bill as the Triangle Wind Ensemble performs Leonard Bernstein's Symphonic Suite from "West Side Story," along with composer John Mackey's symphonic work, Wine-Dark Sea, inspired by Homer's The Odyssey. Come hear these powerful pieces of music performed by our 50 wind, brass, and percussion players. Directed by Evan Feldman. Philharmonic Association: Triangle Youth String Orchestras Fall Concert Sunday, November 13 | 4 p.m. Adults $5; School-aged children $2 Cary Arts Center Hear beautiful string orchestra music played by the combined Triangle Youth String Orchestras. After intermission, the Triangle Youth String Sinfonia will present a multi-media educational program.
