Join an exploration of the mysteries and secrets held by local cemeteries, identifying the resting places of some historic figures and bringing to light interesting tidbits of local history. WALKING TOURS OF HILLCREST CEMETERY A new self-guided Walking Tour of Hillcrest Cemetery has been created by the Friends of the Page-Walker for those interested in discovering more about Cary's past. The 4.9-acre cemetery, with over 2,400 burial sites, is maintained by the Town of Cary and is the final resting place of many familiar names such as Maynard, Harrison, Bond, and Dry. As you walk, you will see sculptures, flowers, and special symbols that represent the diverse culture of the residents of Cary. Tours may take from 20 minutes to several hours and are available at the cemetery entrance, the Page-Walker Arts & History Center, Cary Arts Center, and The Cary Theater.
