Learn how to set up a bow and other fundamental skills, including shooting, safety, and scoring. All equipment will be provided. No prior experience in needed. This is an outdoor program; dress appropriately for the weather. Challenge Course for Families (age 10 & up) Celebrate Take a Child Outside week! Experience outdoor fun as a family and enjoy solving challenges that stimulate teamwork, encourage cooperation, instill trust, and bolster confidence. The program culminates with a ride on Bond Park's Giant Swing. This event is tailored for youth and adults. Fees are per person. Location: Fred G. Bond Metro Park, Ropes Course Shelter Fees: $34 (R) $44 (N) 97130 Sat Oct 1 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Zip Line in Bond Park (age 10–17) Ride the 35-feet-high, 200-feet-long zip line in Bond Park! Harnesses, helmets, and other safety gear are used to keep participants safe. Location: Fred G. Bond Metro Park, Ropes Course Shelter Fees: $26 (R) $34 (N) 97132 Sun Oct 2 2–4 p.m. 97133 Sun Nov 6 2–4 p.m. Ropes Course After Dark! (age 11–17) Come experience the fun and excitement of the challenge course under the cover of the moon and stars. Glow sticks will light the way as we complete low and high obstacles. Registrants receive a certificate of completion, enjoy free campfire food, and take home a buff for participating! Location: Fred G.
