Location: USA Baseball National Training Complex Instructor: Town of Cary Baseball Instructors Fees: $30(R) $39(N) (1 class) AGE 8–10 97237 Mon Oct 17 6–7:30 p.m. AGE 11–14 97238 Wed Oct 19 6–7:30 p.m. Pitching Skills and Technique (age 8–14) Participants will learn the basic skills of pitching. Mechanics will be taught along with an understanding what it takes mentally to be a pitcher. Drills will be taught that will be able to be used independently on the participants' own time. Proper arm care will also be discussed. No competitive experience is required. Location: USA Baseball National Training Complex Instructor: Town of Cary Baseball Instructors Fees: $20(R) $26(N) (1 class) AGES 8–10 97227 Mon Oct 17 6–7:30 p.m. AGES 11–14 97228 Wed Oct 19 6–7:30 p.m. Fall Baseball Clinic (ages 7–14) Participants in this clinic will get to learn the game of baseball and participate in a variety of drills and games to develop the skills needed to become better players. No experience necessary. This clinic is geared towards having fun and developing skills. Entire youth teams are encouraged to come together! Location: USA Baseball National Training Complex Instructors: Town of Cary Baseball Instructors Fees: $15 (1 class) 97222 Sun Nov 6 1–4 p.m. Advanced Hitting Skills and Techniques (age 14–18) This clinic is designed to teach experienced players and will focus on the fundamentals of hitting, including stance, hitting position, balance, bat path, bat speed, and follow- through. Topics also included are opposite-field hitting and hitting for power. The clinic will involve many instructional drills and batting cage practice. Location: USA Baseball National Training Complex Instructor: Town of Cary Baseball Instructors Fees: $27(R) $35(N) (1 class) 97220 Sun Oct 30 1–2:30 p.m. Hitting Skills and Techniques (age 8–14) This clinic will focus on the fundamentals of hitting, including proper stance, hitting position, balance, bat path, bat speed, and follow-through. The clinic will involve instructional drills and batting cage practice. Location: USA Baseball National Training Complex Instructor: Town of Cary Baseball Instructors Fees: $27(R) $35(N) (1 class) AGE 8–10 97224 Wed Sep 28 6–7:30 p.m. AGE 11–14 97247 Mon Oct 3 6–7:30 p.m. Fielding Skills and Techniques (age 8–14) Participants will learn the proper positioning for fielding ground balls, fly balls, and learn proper arm angles when throwing. The information learned at the clinic will be able to be applied directly to the field. Location: USA Baseball National Training Complex Instructor: Town of Cary Baseball Instructors Fees: $30(R) $39(N) (1 class) AGE 8–10 97243 Wed Sep 14 6–7:30 p.m. AGE 11–14 97244 Mon Sep 19 6–7:30 p.m. Town of Cary 1-on-1 baseball lessons are offered year round and are intended to develop, enhance, and build upon your player's skill level. Due to the overwhelming popularity of lessons, available dates are released on the 25th of every month for lessons being held the following month. They will be posted on EZ-REG web and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please follow the prompts to indicate the type of lesson you would like. Lessons can be 30 minutes ($25) or an hour long ($40). Anyone can sign up for a 30-minute lesson; hour-long lessons are viable for players age 10–17.
