The record was broken with a little over 800 runners. The Town has posted an RFP for the space and several prospective tenants have toured the property in advance of submitting a proposal to lease the property. There is no timeframe to lease this property as the goal is to find the best tenant. A $50 million proposal for a development was discussed publicly for the first time at a Town Council work session. The Town has partnered with 108 E. Chatham St. (Kitchen & Bath) property to make the parking lot available for the public after hours. Additionally, the Town has started construction of the Cedar Street Parking Lot, which should be completed by the end of July. On May 14, the Town hosted a dedication of the Flight Memorial to Flights 3378 and 3379 at Carpenter Park. Over 300 people attended, which included honoring the victims and celebrating the survivors. Chatham St. Chowdown This event featured 21 food trucks, 3 breweries and a winery with attendance of 7,000.
