THE WESTERN WAKE REGIONAL WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT FACILITY
BEGAN OPERATION IN 2014. THE FACILITY IS A BIOLOGICAL NUTRIENT
REMOVAL FACILITY LOCATED ON RECLAMATION ROAD AND SERVES
RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES IN THE TOWNS OF APEX, CARY, AND
MORRISVILLE. THE FACILITY DISCHARGES EXCEPTIONALLY TREATED
WATER TO THE CAPE FEAR RIVER DOWNSTREAM OF THE BUCKHORN DAM.
