RECYCLE YOUR FATS, OILS
AND GREASE (F.O.G.)
NEVER DRAIN F.O.G. DOWN YOUR SINK where it can harden and
create blockages in our sewer pipes. Instead, collect your cooled
grease so that it can be recycled into clean burning biofuel.
• Collect a minimum of
1
/2 gallon
F.O.G. in a plastic screw-top
container and label "Used Cooking Oil"
• Call (919) 469-4090 to schedule a free
curbside collection
Utility customers who do not receive Cary solid waste
services may drop off used cooking oil at any Wake
County Solid Waste Multi-Material Facility or at the
Chatham County Collection Center. Search "FOG in
the home" at www.townofcary.org for more details.

DON'T RUSH
TO FLUSH,
PUT TRASH
IN ITS PLACE!
When flushed, these items can
accumulate in pipes and lead
to costly sewer blockages and
environmentally damaging
overflows. Help keep our
sewers running clean by
DISPOSING OF THESE
ITEMS IN YOUR TRASH
and not in our sewers.
