CARY PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTISTS Area photographers gather each month to share their photographic experiences and view a feature presentation by noted local photographers. Cary Photographic Artists meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. at The Cary Theater. CARY PLAYWRIGHTS' FORUM The Cary Playwrights' Forum helps playwrights and aspiring playwrights of Cary and the surrounding areas in North Carolina to develop as dramatic writers. We offer regular feedback sessions with other playwrights, actors, and directors; the opportunity to collaborate in staged readings or productions of their original works; and educational classes and workshops. FINE ARTS LEAGUE OF CARY Take in a monthly art lecture/presentation featuring accomplished artists of various disciplines. January New Singer Auditions for Cary Youth Voices Tuesday, January 3 | Times by appointment Greenwood Forest Baptist Church Cary Youth Voices (CYV) will hold auditions for new members. CYV accepts students in grades 2–12 in three different choirs. The Prep Choir includes singers in grades 2–3; the Treble Choir includes singers in grades 4–6, as well as male treble singers in grades 7 & up; and the Concert Choir is an all-female choir for grades 6–12. February Cary Players presents The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged/Revised) February 17–18, 24–25 | 7:30 p.m. February 19 & 26 | 2 p.m. Adults $20; Students & Seniors $18 The Cary Theater Cary Players return with a little something for those who hate Shakespeare and for those who love him. Director Nancy Rich will navigate the many nuances of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged/ Revised) for those looking to both poke fun at the bard, and witness some of his most brilliant moments. This mashup of many of Shakespeare's plays will keep audiences laughing, whether you're a fan of his work or not.
