Artist William Moore was commissioned to create a ock of sheep for Jack Smith Park. The sheep resemble the Suffolk breed of sheep that were once raised on the Bartley Farm which is now the park site. The breed is known for their distinctive black faces and legs with off- white wool. The artist's desire was to honor the history of this site as well as bring enjoyment for children that will delight in playing on the sheep. William Moore also created KATAL, the large green dragon, at Kids Together Playground at Marla Dorrel Park. Jack Smith Park opened in Fall 2016 and is located at 9725 Penny Road.
