May Cary Town Band presents May Days Daze Friday, May 5 | 7:30 p.m. | Free Cary Arts Center The month of May has so many weird and wonderful "holidays" it can leave you in a "Daze." There's Cinco de Mayo, Mother's Day, Mother Goose Day, International Tuba Day, Dance like a Chicken Day, and more. Just imagine all of the wonderful music that can accompany such auspicious occasions! New Singer Auditions for Cary Youth Voices Tuesday, May 9 | Times by appointment Greenwood Forest Baptist Church Cary Youth Voices (CYV) will hold auditions for new members. CYV accepts students in grades 2–12 in three different choirs. The Prep Choir includes singers in grades 2–3; the Treble Choir includes singers in grades 4–6, as well as male treble singers in grades 7 & up; and the Concert Choir is an all-female choir for grades 6–12. The Really Terrible Orchestra of the Triangle (RTOOT) presents The Stars Align Monday, May 15 | 7:30 p.m. | $9 Cary Arts Center It seems that "The Stars Align." The RTOOT will put a special springtime focus on the stars that shine in its unique combination of amateur musicians making their very best effort to play wonderful, orchestral music combined with the necessary sense of humor.
