Bond Metro Park! Meet in parking lot in front of Bond Park Community Center. 101425 Sun Mar 12 2–3:30 p.m. SPRINGTIME STROLL AT BOND PARK Learn about spring plants and animals at Bond Park! Meet in parking lot in front of Bond Park Community Center. 101426 Sat Apr 1 2–3:30 p.m. Junior Naturalist (age 5–8 with a caregiver) Spend quality time with your child in programs that encourage participants to develop their naturalist skills and their understanding of local nature. Through outdoor investigations in the Preserve, participants will become better acquainted with plants and wildlife. A parent attends with each child and the fee covers both. Fees: $8(R) $10(N) (1 class) WHERE DO ANIMALS GO IN WINTER? 101415 Sun Jan 8 2–3 p.m. SALAMANDERS 101416 Sat Feb 11 2–3 p.m. OWLS 101417 Sun Feb 26 2–3 p.m. Parent/Child and Family Nature Tales and Trails (All ages with caregivers) Experience nature in a whole new way as you and your family listen to and become a part of tales on the trails at Hemlock Bluffs. Each session will focus on a specific nature concept. Programs take place outdoors. A slightly shorter program will take place in the event of rain. Fee covers the entire family! Fees: $20(R) $28(N) (1 class) BIRD BOX BIRDING Become birdwatchers together! Learn about some of our local birds and then build a bird box that will provide shelter and a nesting site for birds in your backyard. 101428 Sat Jan 21 12:30–2 p.m. STORIES AROUND THE CAMPFIRE Explore the forest as the sun is going down, and then listen to Native American stories and enjoy s'mores around the campfire. 101429 Sat Feb 25 5:30–7 p.m. 101430 Sat Mar 25 7–8:30 p.m. THE LORAX AROUND THE CAMPFIRE Celebrate Earth Day together at Hemlock Bluffs! We'll start the night off with a hike and end around the campfire. We will listen to the story The Lorax and make s'mores. 101431 Sat Apr 22 7:30–9 p.m. MAGIC GARDEN Magic doesn't only exist in stories; it is all around us in nature too!
