Don't be fooled by online/ computer scams, IRS scams and telephone scams (impersonations). Be prepared and know what to watch for so that you do not become a victim. Discover simple things you can do to avoid becoming a target. Location: Conference Room 98765 Fri Jan 6 1–2 p.m. AARP Driver Safety Program Learn proven safety driving strategies to keep you safe while on the road. A review of safety rules of the road, knowing your vehicles and common sense driving tips to compensate for physical and cognitive changes that come with aging. The classroom course costs $15.00 for AARP members and $20.00 non-members. After taking of the course, you may be eligible for a discount on your automobile insurance. Fees: $15 (plus $5 for non AARP members) 99621 Fri Mar 31 1–5:30 p.m. Library The Cary Senior Center maintains a library of books on tape, movies, magazines, books, music CDs and more all for you to borrow! You may check out three books on tape, CDs or movies for up to 10 days. Stop by to check out this growing resource for area senior citizens! Also, if you have books on tape, CDs or videos (DVD or VHS) you are no longer using, consider donating them to the Cary Senior Center! Public Computer There is a public computer located in the library for seniors (age 50+) to use for practicing what they have learned in SeniorNet classes or just to surf the internet! Sign-in is required. All information must be stored on your own flash drive as the computer will not save your information (no printer available). Wireless access is also a service of the SeniorNet Learning Center.
