The class will use improvisation and simple combinations from jazz, ballet and modern dance. Using music of different rhythms and generations, you will stimulate your brain as well as move in place or throughout the room. A recent study of Parkinson's patients in an 8 month weekly dance class showed significant improvements in hand movements, finger taps and facial expression. Participants showed positive effects on social life, health, mobility and everyday life competences. Join us and leave feeling stretched, joyful, engaged and connected to your community! Look for the fitness pass icon to see which fitness classes are available. Classes are subject to availability and cancellation. Call the Cary Senior Center to confirm class status. Space in the program is subject to availability. There is no expiration on fitness passes! Fitness pass holders also may use their pass for Fitness Pass classes at the three community centers (does not include Wellness Pass classes).
