Our adventures along the spectacular White Oak Creek wetland complex continue! We'll meet at White Oak Creek Greenway. 98986 Tue May 16 10–11:30 a.m. Birding at Bond Park We'll search the wetlands and forests of Bond Park for birds. Binoculars can be provided. Meets in front of Bond Park Community Center. 98987 Thu May 25 10–11:30 a.m. ADULT NATURE Stretch your legs, clear your mind, and experience nature. You'll continue your lifelong learning through informative and educational nature walks that are focused on seasonal plant and wildlife activity. May involve some slow walking on steps. Ages 16+ Location: Stevens Nature Center / Hemlock Bluffs, unless noted otherwise Fees: $6(R) $8(N) (1 class) Birds and Buds Build up your identification knowledge of winter birds and plants. Binoculars can be provided. 98989 Sat Jan 7 10–11:30 a.m. Winter Nature Ramble at Bond Park We'll explore Bond Park far and wide for signs of early spring plants, winter birds and more! Meet in front of the Bond Park Community Center. 98990 Sat Jan 28 2–3:30 p.m. Birds of Hinshaw Greenway Join us for a leisurely hike along the Hinshaw Greenway for winter birds. We'll meet at Marla Dorrel Park. 98991 Sat Feb 18 10–11:30 a.m. Don't Wait Please register early. Early registration allows us time to plan appropriately. Oftentimes we are able to accommodate those on waiting lists by adding additional spots to the class or adding additional classes. Classes that do not meet their minimum enrollment are generally cancelled. You could make the difference. Nature Programs The programs offered by the Stevens Nature Center are held at the beautiful Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve unless otherwise noted. Trained, professional Preserve staff will assist you in expanding your outdoor skills, increasing your natural resource knowledge and enhancing your lifelong learning.
