Cary Youth Theatre Applause! programs explore and develop theatre skills and encourage participants to share ideas, think creatively, and work collaboratively. We offer classes, camps, and multiple performance and design opportunities throughout the year. Come "Be Somebody" with Applause! All Applause! programs are held at Cary Arts Center unless otherwise noted. Acting/Performance Drama Workshop Series (age 13–18) Expand your skills in character development, acting technique, and performance styles as we rehearse a piece for public performance on March 4, 3 p.m. Instructor: Ben Slate Fees: $129(R) $159(N) (5 classes) 99185 Sat Feb 4–Mar 4 1–4 p.m. Second-Level Acting/ Performance Deepen your acting training with Applause!'s second-level classes. Participants must have completed at least one Applause! class or mainstage production. For more information, email rachel.baranski@townofcary.org. Acting Intensive (age 13–18) Analyze scenes and monologues and apply them to your performance using Stanislavsky's famous methods. Develop an understanding of the mind- body connection to acting. THE NEVERENDING STORY Registration begins Mar 1; email rachel.baranski@ townofcary.org to schedule an appointment. Performances are May 12–14 at Cary Arts Center. Auditions (open to ages 8–18): Mon–Tue, Mar 13–14, 5–9 p.m. Participants will be asked to read from the script and do group scene work. Design Team Interviews (open to ages 10–18): Wed, Mar 15, 5–9 p.m. Participants will be asked to share ideas, drawings, or other design concepts for the production.
