Build engineer-designed projects such as a motorized Creeper, a portal to the Nether, and a moving Minecart! Whether you are new to Minecraft and LEGO or a seasoned veteran, you'll be hooked on the endless creative possibilities. Location: Mills Park Elementary Instructor: Play Well TEKnologies Fees: $127(R) $157(N) (5 classes) 102818 Mon-Fri Jun 26–30 1–4 p.m. T1 Junior Twisted Fairy Tales (age 5–7) Campers explore fairy tales from different points of view and investigate solutions for each fairy tales' obstacles. Campers design a getaway vehicle for the heroine from Kate and the Beanstalk, help the three billy goats fluff devise a method to cross the bridge, and construct an edible candy reef to protect the three little fish from the shark! Build engineer-designed projects such as boats, snowmobiles, catapults, and merry-go-rounds. Then, use special pieces to create your own unique design! New and returning students can explore the endless creative possibilities of the LEGO ® building system with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor. Location: Herbert C. Through open and focused exploration, students explore and construct airplanes, rockets, helicopters, and more! Jr. Robotics: Wild Animals (age 5–7) This class introduces campers to robotics and gives them a chance to build and program their first robot. Students will build a hungry alligator, a flying bird, and a roaring lion using LEGO ® WeDo Robots and LEGO ® bricks. Working in pairs, they will learn how to program and operate their creations using a laptop computer. Location: Herbert C. Campers build their very own pirate ship, go fishing for treasure, and work together to create a delicious treat that is more precious than gold. They will learn how to program and operate their creations using a laptop computer. An experienced Play- Well instructor guides young heroes as they design, build, and save a city where ingenuity and imagination can solve any conflict.
