38 REGISTER ONLINE: classweb.townofcary.org NATURE EDUCATION ANIMAL FOLKLORE (age 5–7) Go on an adventure to fi nd the truth behind some favorite nature tales as you learn about the forest and the animals that live there. 102741 Tue-Thu Aug 22–24 1:30–4:30 p.m. T2 BOOTS IN THE CREEK (age 8–12) Join us as we spend time in the streams and pools of the nature preserve seeking wildlife adventures. 102742 Wed-Fri Jun 14–16 1:30–4:30 p.m. T1 CAN YOU DIG IT? (age 8–12) We'll search for fossils and seeking rocks and minerals. Find out of you have what it takes to be a digger! 102737 Wed-Fri Jul 5–7 10 a.m.–1 p.m. TO TO THE BLUFFS AND BEYOND! (age 8–12) Trek into remote areas of the preserve to seek out frogs, fi sh, snakes, and more! Each day will be a new wildlife adventure. 102739 Mon-Wed Jul 17–19 9 a.m.–noon T3 Young Ecologists Camps (age 8–13) This hands-on series is designed to nurture and develop interest in and knowledge of nature and local plants and wildlife. Participants will learn more about the environment through fi eld investigations and activities that reinforce a specifi c nature topic or concept. Fees: $76(R) $96(N) (5 classes) NATURE CHALLENGE (age 8–12) Match your survival skills against nature. We'll have exciting explorations and discover tricks to help survive in the wild! 102755 Mon-Fri Jun 19–23 1–4 p.m. T1 SWIFT CREEK ADVENTURES (age 8–12) Venture into the creeks of the nature preserve in search of fi sh, frogs, turtles, crayfi sh and more! 102756 Mon-Fri Jul 24–28 1–4 p.m. T4 CREATURE VISION (age 10–13) Join us as we explore unseen areas of the preserve. We will also use wildlife cameras to track nocturnal wildlife. 102757 Mon-Fri Jul 31–Aug 4 1–4 p.m. T3 Discovery Days Mini-Camps (age 5–12) Where has all the time gone? Sometimes we just want to hike farther, delve deeper, or create a bigger, better project. These camps give children the chance to get to know each other, their instructor, and nature preserve plants and animals a little better. Children are dropped off for these camps. To help prevent injuries, closed-toe footwear is required. Rubber boots, hiking shoes, or sneakers are recommended; do not wear fl ip-fl ops, Crocs, sandals, or other open-toe shoes.
