Authors and Illustrators (age 6–8) Denise Fleming, Eric Carle, and Jan Brett are all authors and illustrators. Their books contain beautiful illustrations made from paint and paper that bring their stories to life! Create artwork to celebrate the works of notable authors and illustrators and maybe even author and illustrate your own story book. (age 6–8) Explore mixed media in this creative camp as we use unusual materials to make mixed-up art. Instructor: Marisa Lukas Fees: $87(R) $114(N) (5 classes) Location: Mills park Elementary School 102468 Mon-Fri Jun 19–23 9 a.m.–noon T1 Fabulous Floral Art (age 6–8) Learn a variety of ways to create fl oral art. Inspired by artists such as Georgia O'Keefe, we'll be painting, cutting, and gluing to make fabulous fl oral masterpieces. Instructor: Barb Lentz Fees: $87(R) $114(N) (5 classes) 103212 Mon-Fri Jun 19–23 9 a.m.–noon T1 Children must be the minimum age before the beginning of class to be eligible to register. Programs that include age K5 are for 5-year-olds who are currently attending Kindergarten. AGE LIMITS Early registration allows us time to plan appropriately. Often times we are able to accommodate those on waiting lists by adding additional spots in the class or adding additional classes. Classes that do not meet their minimum enrollment are generally cancelled. You could make the difference. DON'T WAIT! Seuss on the Loose! (age 6–8) From cats and hats to goats and boats, enter the zany world of Dr. Seuss. Use fabric, paper, paint, and lots of silly stuff to come up with your own crazy creatures. Instructor: Lisa Honeycutt Fees: $87(R) $114(N) (5 classes) 102476 Mon-Fri Jun 19- 23 1–4 p.m. T1 Line, Shape and Color (age 6–8) Pull your brush to make a line, curve it around to make a shape, and paint it in to add some color. Voila! You have the start of a wonderful painting! Explore how line, shape, and color are all you need to draw and paint like the great artists. Make a mobile art museum that features a variety of artists and their art. Be the museum director using your interchangeable art exhibits to do art shows for your family and friends! Hear folktales and make crafts refl ecting the festivals celebrated by different world cultures.
