Community Services
Unit (CSU)
The Community Services Unit provides daily
services such as child safety talks, home
security assessments, and organizing
community watch meetings. The following
graph is a synopsis of services provided
during the 4th quarter 2016 with a
comparison to the same quarter in 2015.
Significant Community Services events for
the quarter included: Halloween Mall Crawl,
Coffee with a Cop at McDonald's on Walnut
Street, and the Unity Walk at WakeMed
Soccer Park.
School Resource
Officers (SRO)
SRO's assisted Wake County Public Schools
with 31 lockdown drills during the fourth
quarter. In addition, SRO's conducted
unannounced K-9 drug searches at all high
schools. No drugs were found in the twelve
random classrooms that were searched.
