12 June-August 2017 Cary Senior Center Art Exhibitions JULY/AUGUST Fruit of the Vines, Brian Vines Medium: Mixed Cary Senior Center Exhibit opens Mon, July 24–Fri, August 18 Artists' Reception Fri, July 28 6–8 p.m. Like all artists I have inspirations and ideas that just need to be put down on paper or canvas. I generally work with pastel, charcoal and oils. I draw my inspirations from many sources but my biggest influences have mostly been figurative artworks from the old renaissance masters. I've also always been in love with surrealism and Salvador Dali's creativeness. And love painters like Frank Frazetta with their boldness of execution. Like them I try to emulate and create visually stimulating pieces with humor or a twist that might get the viewer thinking. I want my artwork to reflect the best of all my various influences. 15th Annual FALC Senior Exhibition Cary Senior Center Exhibit open Mon, August 21–Fri, Sep 22 Artists' Reception Fri, August 25 3–5 p.m. Medium: Mixed Cary Senior Center and the Fine Arts League of Cary will be hosting the 15th Annual Seniors Art Exhibition.
