By registering for this program you will be added to a volunteer call list for the 2017 Summer Season. When different volunteer opportunities arise we then contact those on the list for help. Remember this list only lasts for one season so make sure you register each brochure if you want to remain on the call list. NEW VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION This meeting is for those who are interested in volunteering for the center. During this time you will learn what volunteer opportunities take place here and how the call list works. Location: Conference Room 103799 Fri Jun 9 11 a.m.–noon Volunteer Sewing Group Volunteers sew, knit and crochet a variety of dolls, quilts, and other goodies to be donated to local hospitals and care centers! More volunteers are always welcome, please join us in giving. Donations of clean acrylic yarns, cotton cloth and other items are needed. Please check with the Cary Senior Center front desk for details by calling (919) 469-4081. Location: Ballroom 103805 Every Monday 9–11:30 a.m. Warm Up America Grab your knitting needles, scrap yarn and warm heart! Help knit and crochet warm blankets that will be donated to a variety of charities in the area. Your self-expression provides warmth and hope for so many. Some yarn will be provided; donations accepted. Location: Conference Room 103804 3rd Thursday Monthly 1–4 p.m. ▶ Volunteer Opportunities Use GoCary Door to Door to GO work, dine, shop, visit the doctor, and have fun at popular destinations throughout Cary and beyond. WHERE WILL YOU GO? GoCary Door to Door is a shared ride service for senior citizens age 60 and over as well as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) transportation for people with disabilities. Services are available: Monday – Saturday (in town trips) 6 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. Monday – Saturday (out of town trips) 6 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. Registration is required for Door to Door service.
