Foundation principles, tool types and use, as well as advanced topics including perspective and atmosphere, will be covered. Learn feature placement and explore the use of shading and texture to create a more realistic and dimensional head study. Complete your black and white study with your choice of graphite or charcoal. Bring a close up photo copy of your favorite face and a 9"x12" sketchbook for preliminary drawings. Drawing materials available for use. Instructor: Ginny O'Neal Fees: $12(R) $16(N) (1 class) 105030 Sat Aug 12 2:30–5 p.m. Colorful Copper Enameling 50+ Beginning and returning students will explore many different colorful options for enameling, while learning the copper process to design a fashion pin, pair of earrings, pendant or a magnet. Small pre-stamped copper pieces will be kiln fired by the instructor and ready for you to take home at the end of class. The cost for supplies is included in class fee. Additional copper pieces will be available to purchase during the workshop for an additional $1 each. Relax in a friendly, informal setting as you learn the beauty of pencil rendering. Drawing for Beginners In this beginner's class, students will explore four essential elements of drawing: the contour line, composition, value and texture. Utilizing your creative abilities, you will experiment using graphite and other dry media. Challenge your point of view and investigate a variety of different drawing styles and complete a study of real life subjects from veggies to botanicals. Bring a 9"x12" sketchbook and let's continue to draw.
