Bands, Bites, & Boats at Bond Park Spend your Friday evening floating on Bond Lake in the evening sun, listening to great music, and tasting delicious food. This new series will take place the last Friday of every month from 5-8 p.m. and will feature various musicians and food trucks. Evening boat rentals will be available. Otherwise, the event is free. In 1997, America's Polka King Frankie Yankovic performed with the band for the 2nd annual concert; two decades later, the band keeps his music alive. Celebration of Bluegrass Friday, June 23 | 6 p.m. | Free For the seventh year, the Town of Cary partners with the Piedmont Council of Traditional Music (Pinecone) to present Bluegrass Camp, teaching guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and songwriting. Hear the young musicians in action at 6 p.m., followed by a guest band.
