The 2017–18 season marks the seventh year of presenting this beloved series in the restored historic Cary Arts Center. The Doo Wop Project Friday, September 22 | 7:30 p.m. TheDoo Wop Project(DWP) traces the evolution of Doo Wop from the classic sound of fi ve guys singing tight harmonies on a street corner to the biggest hits today. The DWP brings authenticity of sound and vocal excellence to recreate some of the greatest music in pop and rock history. Donald Sinta Quartet Friday, November 3 | 7:30 p.m. Donald Sinta Quartet, comprised of four saxophonists, has achieved international renown for its recitals and concerto performances. Their repertoire spans centuries and encompasses the string quartet repertoire of Dvorak, Schubert, and Shostakovich, as well as saxophone standards and new commissions and premieres by today's emerging composers.
