"Holidays in Rhythm" with the Gregg Gelb Jazz Quintet Sunday, December 10 | 4 p.m. With the rhythmic jazz beat of the season, Gregg Gelb and his musicians will offer a new and delightful approach to the holidays. What better way to get in the holiday spirit than to listen to an afternoon of jazz and seasonal music? A noted local jazz musician, Gregg has been performing since the 1980s and brings his special talents to the Page- Walker. Cary Ballet presents "The Nutcracker Suite" Saturday, December 16 | 10 a.m. Sunday, December 17 | 2:30 p.m. You will be treated to a delightful version of the beloved holiday classic "The Nutcracker" that features the Sugarplum Fairy as well as a mini-ballet demonstration by Cary Ballet's Artistic Director. Following each performance, join us for a special Ballerina Tea. Decorate a teacup and take photos with featured ballerinas. Tickets for the Ballerina Tea are $10 and sold separately. Opera Xpress presents "The Billy Goats Gruff" Sunday, March 4 | 3 p.m. Once upon a time, there were three billy goats enjoying a game of hide-and-seek after school when a bully blocked the bridge—their way home—and took their doll. When two of the goats resolve to fi nd a new route home, the smallest goat stands up to the bully to get her doll back and cross the bridge—and even makes a friend! Atlantic Coast Theatre presents "Rockin' Red Riding Hood" Saturday, April 21 | 10 a.m. Rock along with Little Red, Grandma, Jack Lumber, and B.B. Wolf as the traditional story of "Little Red Riding Hood" is updated in thisrock musical.
