Michael Thompson: Beneath the Bark Page-Walker Arts & History Center Wednesday, September 27—Thursday, November 9 Artist Reception: Friday September 29 | 6–8 p.m. Medium: Wood Trees provide a beauty that enhances our lives every day. Beneath the bark of trees lies the unseen beauty that becomes visible when the wood is paired with an artist/ craftsman. Woodturning provides an avenue to combine the natural beauty found in the wood and the form envisioned by the artist. Amy Elizabeth Devereaux: Israel Town Hall Gallery Friday, September 29—Wednesday, November 22 Artist Reception: Friday, September 29 | 6–8 p.m. Medium: Photography Devereaux describes her approach to photography as what interests her is capturing the moment, with its particular light, motion, and subject. She says, "My favorite subjects are nature, foreign countries, landscapes, cultures, and people as well as sculptures, buildings, and machinery." Pratima Bapat: Inspired by Nature Herbert C. Young Community Center Gallery Friday, September 29—Saturday, October 21 Artist Reception: Friday, September 29 | 6–8 p.m. Medium: Mixed Media Drawings Bapat shares, "I try to incorporate our role as humans in nature as part of flora and fauna. You will notice human forms in the trees and hills, fossils and rocks." The artist plays with black and white spaces interjected with vibrant colors. Don Ducey & Jim Trull: Sea to Sea-Images from Across a Great Nation Bond Park Community Center Friday, September 1—Tuesday, October 31 Artist Reception: Friday, September 8 | 6-8 p.m. Medium: Photography Enjoy the beautiful nature photographs by Don Ducey and Jim Trull.
