If you have ever tried to research your family's African-American past and run into obstacles, learn why and how best to overcome those challenges. You are also invited to add to the understanding of our community's rich African American heritage by sharing your family photographs, small memorabilia, and stories about growing up in Cary. Trained staff and volunteers will record your stories and scan photos. There will also be resources on how to care for and protect your family treasures. This program is being presented by the Town of Cary Page-Walker Arts and History Center, the Friends of Page-Walker, and the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center at UNC.
