One of our most popular programs! 105727 Sun Oct 29 2–3:30 p.m. BIRDS AND BUDS OF THE BLACK CREEK GREENWAY Our focus is fall plants and birds along Black Creek Greenway. Binoculars can be provided. Meet at North Cary Park. 105728 Sat Nov 18 10–11:30 a.m. WINTER BIRDING AT BOND PARK Find out ways to ID birds by sight and sound. Binoculars can be provided. Meet in front of Bond Park Community Center. 105729 Sat Dec 2 10–11:30 a.m. NATURE WINTER RAMBLE Nature adventure awaits as we ramble on and off trail along parts of Swift Creek Greenway. 105730 Sat Dec 9 2–3:30 p.m. Adult Nature Workshops (age 18 & up) Pick up tips, techniques, and hands-on experience to prepare you to get started on your backyard projects. Meet your neighbors and make new friends while enjoying these informative workshops. Fees: $14(R) $18(N) (1 class) BACKYARD BIRDS 101 Discover new ways to attract birds to your backyard. Bird box included! 105731 Sat Sep 23 10 a.m.-noon Hemlock Nature Quest (age 13–15) If you think your child has seen everywhere at Hemlock Bluffs, think again! These programs journey to far corners of the Preserve on a quest to find nature rarely seen. Dress for the weather and off-trail conditions. Bring your sense of adventure! (HNQ participants are eligible to volunteer as program assistants for our younger nature programs.) Fees: $12(R) $16(N) (1 class) OWL PROWL Join us as we search for owls and look for other nocturnal wildlife. 107305 Sun Dec 10 4–6 p.m. Adult Nature Adult Nature Programs (age 16 & up) Stretch your legs, clear your mind, and experience nature. You'll continue your lifelong learning through informative and educational nature walks that are focused on seasonal plant and wildlife activity. May involve some slow walking on steps. Fees: $6(R) $8(N) (1 class) POLLINATOR POWER Explore the world of pollination of all types of plants by wildlife, water, and wind. 105725 Sat Sep 16 2–3:30 p.m. NIGHT ADVENTURES Search for insects, salamanders, owls, and other nocturnal wildlife as the sun sets.
