This six-week archery course will immerse you in the sport of archery. A USA Archery Instructor will provide coaching to perfect technique and archery knowledge. Must have attended a Town of Cary Intro to Archery class. All equipment is provided. May use your own bow. Max draw weight of 35 pounds. This six-week course led by a USA Archery Instructor will allow you to fine tune your shooting in through continued learning. Must have attended a Town of Cary Intro to Archery class. Harnesses, helmets, and other safety gear are provided. Participants should be willing to climb a ladder made of rope with wood rungs. Location: Fred G. Bond Metro Park; Ropes Course Shelter Staff: Program Staff Fees: $25(R) $33(N) 105070 Wed Sep 20 1–3 p.m. 106011 Wed Oct 4 1–3 p.m. Challenge Course for Seniors (age 55 & up) Keep your mind and body active while participating in a variety of challenges at Bond Park's Challenge Course. Activities are focused on working with others to accomplish challenges and are no more than 18 inches off the ground. Challenges range from using PVC to build the tallest structure possible to swinging on a rope swing. Location: Fred G. Bond Metro Park; Ropes Course Shelter Staff: Program Staff Fees: $19(R) $25(N) (1 class) 106028 Wed Oct 25 10 a.m.-noon Archery Intro to Archery (age 10 & up) Learn the basics of archery! Learn how to set up a bow, as well as archery basics including shooting, safety, and scoring. All equipment will be provided. No prior experience in needed. This is an outdoor program; dress appropriately for the weather. Perfect your stance and hone your aim with this more advanced archery class. Equipment is provided or you can bring your own bow (restrictions apply). Must have taken Intro to Archery or have prior archery experience. This is an outdoor program; dress appropriately for the weather.
