You will also gain an understanding of accounts and privilege in Windo ws 10. You can custo mize the look of the co mputer for each account user. We will also teach you the workings of Windo ws 10 "Start Menu" and the ne w File Explorer. A student Flash Drive is required. Co mputer Skills 3 for Windo ws 10 This class is for those who have mastered basic Co mputer Skills 1 & 2 (or have equivalent experience). We will discuss searching the internet with search engines such as Bing, using G mail and setting up an account, and basic M S Ofice applications including: Word ( word processing), Po wer Point (slide sho w presentations), and Excel (basic spreadsheets). A lash drive is needed for this class. Co mputer Skills 1 for Windo ws 10 Let's explore and learn the basics of Windo ws 10 in this ne w essential class! This course introduces you to the basics of co mputing and provides extensive practice using the mouse and the keyboard. You are introduced to and use the Word Pad and the Paint applications progra ms. This course is intended for those with mini mu m or no experience using a co mputer. A student Flash Drive is needed for this course. The classes feature a syste m which includes s mall class size, hands-on experience (each student works at a co mputer), trained teachers, and on-site coaches providing additional assistance. All instructors are senior volunteers! If you are interested in volunteering with the co mputer progra m, call (919) 469- 4081. To take any of the classes, you must be 50 or older. Scholarships are available for class fees; call (919) 469- 4081 for more infor mation. All students are required to bring a 1 G B (or larger) thu mb drive (lash drive) to class or you can purchase one at the front desk for $10 each.
