Everyone is invited to bring your carved pu mpkin fro m 4- 6 p. m. and join us for Bond Park's Pu mpkin Flotilla! Pu mpkins will set sail across the Bond Park Lake at t wilight (approxi mately 6:30 p. m.). Enjoy a discounted boat ride (available to those who enter a pu mpkin or dress in appropriate Hallo ween costu mes) and a snack fro m our concession stand while you wait to watch your pu mpkin loat by the lake! On-site registration only on event day at 4 p. m. For more infor mation about the Pu mpkin Flotilla, please e mail Andre w Marsden at andre w. marsden @to wnofcary.org P u m pki n Fl otilla G ui deli nes • Get a p u m pki n: Bring a pu mpkin that weighs about 8 pounds after it's carved; that's approxi mately the size of a soccer ball. Mini or extra-large pu mpkins cannot be accepted. • Get creative: All pu mpkins must co me with tops and be gutted and carved at ho me. Jack-o'- lanterns with artiicial decorations, such as paint, glitter, marker, food dye, paper, plastic, light bulbs, candles, or loats ca n n ot be accepted for the lotilla. A light and loating device will be provided when you register your jack-o'-lantern at the event. • Dr o p off yo ur p u m pki n: The designated drop-off area is near the Boathouse bet ween 4-5:30 p. m. Space in the lotilla is li mited to 40 pu mpkins, so make sure your creation meets all the require ments! E V E N T S P O T LI G H T Kee p M ovi n g a n d Eat Well at H o me Much like the Live Well at Ho me event last su m mer, a panel of experts dis - cusses ways to maintain and even raise, your strength and balance in order to live well in your ho me for as long as possible. Eating is an essential part of living well, and having good nutritional ideas and ways to cook healthy meals for one or t wo will be presented. Our panel will ans wer your questions about exercises as well as food safety. A healthy dessert will be offered and itness instructors will teach si mple strengthening exercises. Bring a friend, loved one or fa mily me mber. Free to attend but please register soon as seating is li mited.
