Fixing a broken item will save you money and divert otherwise usable items from the landfill. Join us for demonstrations on how to use tools, salvage old parts and make simple repairs. Bring your own item to fix. We are doing the Repair Cafe Cary events at the Cary Arts Center monthly. A socket that won't function? Bring with you a broken item, such as a lamp, or socket and your instructor will guide you through the repair process. Learn what tools you should have in your home, how to properly use the tools and how to work with electricity with out the fear of being shocked. Discover what's WATT about volts, amps and watts. $5 fee paid to instructor at the start of class. Location: Conference Room Instructor: Roy Isasi (3 classes) 109433 Wed Apr 4– 18 1–2:30 p.m. Save a Life—CPR & Choking This course covers CPR for Adults and Children. You will learn basic CPR skills, how to use a breathing barrier, how to help someone that is choking, and an introduction to purpose and use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). Optional: Infant CPR & choking will be reviewed following class for those interested. You will not receive a certification card for this class, but will leave with the basic knowledge of how to help someone in trouble. Or maybe a sound has ignited your imagination to paint a picture you wished to put into writing. Using your five senses, you will evoke memories, images and feelings which you'll then put into words for personal reflection or to share with others. Bring paper and writing instrument.
