More volunteers are always welcome, please join us in giving. Donations of clean acrylic yarns, cotton cloth and other items are needed. Please check with the Cary Senior Center front desk for details by calling (919) 469-4081. During this time you will learn what volunteer opportunities take place here and how the call list works. 109171 Fri Jan 5 11 a.m.-noon Winter/Spring Season Volunteer List If you are interested in donating some of your time to help the Cary Senior Center then register for this program (course code #109170)! By registering for this program you will be added to a volunteer call list for the 2018 Winter/Spring Season. When different volunteer opportunities arise we then contact those on the list for help. Remember this list only lasts for one season so make sure you register each brochure if you want to remain on the call list. Warm Up America Grab your knitting needles, scrap yarn and warm heart! Help knit and crochet warm blankets that will be donated to a variety of charities in the area. Your self-expression provides warmth and hope for so many. Some yarn will be provided; donations accepted. Location: Conference Room 110006 3rd Thursday Monthly 1–4 p.m. c Volunteer Opportunities c Volunteer for Senior Games In April 2018 Wake County seniors, age 50 and older, will take to the athletic fields and stage to prove they are better than ever. In bowling lanes, swimming pools, and gymnasiums; on golf courses, tennis courts, fields and running tracks, they will go for the gold! Others seniors will sing and dance for your entertainment, while others will display their talents through visual and literary arts. Volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of tasks including registration, keeping score, judging artwork, and much more. Detailed information available in January 2018.
