After our guided exploration and bird feeding, we'll lunch at a Scotland Neck favorite. En route to Cary we'll stop at A&B Milling Company, home to Aunt Ruby's Peanuts and other sweet treats. Sample the treats and take home a tin. Cost includes transportation, admission, guided tour, and bird feed; food and shopping are on your own. Extensive walking includes steps and uneven surfaces. We're off to learn everything you always wanted to know about gardening—but were afraid to ask—at Big Bloomers Flower Farm in Sanford. Big Bloomers specializes in new, unusual, and native perennials, annuals, herbs, and shrubs on their six-acre site. There is an extensive selection of garden-related merchandise including statuary, fountains, metalwork, and pottery in their Garden Shop. After lunch we'll return to Cary so you can get busy in your garden. Cost includes transportation; food and purchases on your own. Extensive walking includes steps and uneven surfaces.
