Choreography Intensive (age 11–17) So you think you can dance? Brush up your technique and learn how to create dynamic, interesting choreography in various dance styles. Location: Cary Arts Center Instructor: Michelle DiRuzza Fees: $98(R) $127(N) (4 classes) 110879 Fri Apr 13–May 4 6–8 p.m. LONG SESSION CLASSES Long session classes culminate in an informal showcase at Cary Arts Center. Spring session showcase: Wednesday, March 28, 7:30 p.m. plus brief rehearsal prior. Dance Combo (age 11–17) Build strength and technique through warm-ups, floor progressions, and combinations that feature foundations and choreography from multiple dance styles. Music All music classes are held at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center.. Piano Enrichment for Teens (age 11–18) Learn how to chord popular music while mastering piano theory. Polish your performance skills and build your overall confidence. Recommended for teens who have completed beginning classes, know their scales, and want to play trending music on the piano. Piano/keyboards are provided for lessons. Class culminates with a recital. Instructor: Nita Key Enrichment Fees: $120(R) $150(N) (5 classes) 111244 Tue Jan 16–Feb 13 6–7 p.m. 111245 Tue Mar 20–Apr 17 6–7 p.m. Vocal Enrichment for Teens (age 11–18) Have fun while learning to sing! In this small-group setting, you will learn the Solfege method, which develops the ear to recognize notes. Learn theory, breathing techniques, and melodic method while learning popular music. Polish your performance skills and build your overall confidence. Class culminates with a recital.
