Instructor: Linda Simpson Fees: $101(R) $131(N) (5 classes) 109805 Tue Mar 27–Apr 24 6:30–9:30 p.m. Cuttlefish Casting (age 16 & up) Cuttlefish casting is a simple, traditional metal casting technique that takes advantage of the properties of a finely porous, bone-like internal organ shared by members of the cuttlefish family. Because cuttlebone withstands high temperatures and is easily carved, it serves as mold- making material for small metal casting. Successful completion of a Beginning Metals class class qualifies students to purchase a Metals Studio Card to access the studio and use the equipment to work on individual projects.
