OUTDOOR RECREATION PART TWO 84 REGISTER ONLINE: classweb.townofcary.org Fishing Fishing opportunities are available year-round at Bond Lake. There is no charge to fi sh from shore. All NC fi shing regulations apply. North Carolina requires anyone 16 or older to have a fi shing license. For additional information concerning size and creel limits or to purchase a license, visit www.ncwildlife.org. After School Fishing (age 11–17) Learn the basics of freshwater fi shing. You will learn the proper way to bait hooks with a variety of bait and learn the basics of casting with fl y rods, closed-faced reels, and cane poles. Cleaning and cooking your catch are also discussed. Participants are encouraged to bring their own rod/reel, but equipment will be provided. Location: Fred G Bond Metro Park Instructor: Bryan Craddock Fees: $15(R) $20(N) (1 class) 109635 Tue May 8 5:30–7:30 p.m. Introduction to Fly Fishing (age 13 & up) This is a half-day course that provides basic instruction on fl y f ishing. Participants will learn about casting, knots, equipment, fi shing strategies, fl y selection, and proper fl y- casting technique. Rod, reel, and lines are provided.
