TENNIS PART TWO 122 REGISTER ONLINE: classweb.townofcary.org Junior Team Tennis Junior Team Tennis (JTT) is the largest youth tennis league in the country. The emphasis is on skill development, fun, teamwork, and friendly match-play competition. Level of play ranges from beginners to advanced tournament players. Seasons are typically 6–8 weeks and include regularly scheduled practices, matches, and an end-of season pizza party. JTT AGE DIVISIONS All age groups include Recreational, Intermediate, and Advanced divisions. We offer the following age groups: 8 & Under, 10 & Under, 12 & Under, 14 & Under, and 18 & Under. JTT COMPETITION (age 8–18) JTT Competition is structured for intermediate-level players looking for more practice time. Drills are structured around playing situations and point development. Stroke mechanics are emphasized along with the improvement of the serve. Junior Team Tennis Starter Junior Team Tennis (age 5½-18) Starter Junior Team Tennis (JTT) is a Cary Tennis Park program offered to beginning players ages 5½ to 18. This program combines practices, live-ball drills, and match play in a 1½-hour timeframe, allowing players to quickly reinforce the new skills they have learned. Stroke development, court positioning, and basic singles/doubles strategy will be covered. Serving and match scorekeeping will also be a component of the program.
