Each session is primarily a fi eld excursion with a classroom session relevant to a specifi c nature topic. Equipment provided. Fees: $12(R) $16(N) (1 class) EXPLORING WETLANDS Join preserve staff as we search the wetlands for salamanders, crayfi sh, and more. 111110 Sun Feb 4 2–4 p.m. SPRINGTIME AMPHIBIANS AND REPTILES Join preserve staff as they search for spring frogs, snakes, salamanders, and turtles. 111111 Sat Apr 28 1–3 p.m. SWIFT CREEK EXPLORATION Explore Swift Creek for fi sh, snakes, frogs, and crayfi sh. 111112 Sun May 13 2–4 p.m. Hemlock Nature Quest (age 13–15) These programs journey to far corners of the Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve on a quest to fi nd nature rarely seen by the public or other program participants. Dress for the weather and off-trail conditions. Bring your sense of adventure! (Participants are eligible to volunteer as program assistants for our younger nature programs.) Fees: $12(R) $16(N) (1 class) TRIBUTARIES OF SWIFT CREEK Join us as we explore the tributaries that lead to Swift Creek. We will search for salamanders, crayfi sh, and more! Equipment provided. 111092 Sub Mar 11 2–4 p.m. Nature Education and Outdoor Recreation classes may involve traveling over rough or uneven terrain. To help prevent injuries, closed-toed footwear is required. Rubber boots, hiking shoes, or sneakers are recommended; do not wear fl ip-fl ops, Crocs, sandals, or other open-toed shoes. Bare feet are absolutely prohibited! PROTECT YOUR FEET!
