Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied on the boat by an adult and wear a personal flotation device (PFD). All participants renting sailboats, canoes, or kayaks must wear a PFD at all times. Prior experience is required for sailboat rentals. BOAT RENTAL HOURS Hours of operation are subject to change. April–May & September–October: Weekends 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Holidays (Good Friday, Memorial Day, Labor Day) 10 a.m.–6 p.m. June–August: Weekdays 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Weekends 9 a.m.–7p.m. Holidays (July 4) 7 a.m.–6 p.m. Closed weekdays with the start of Wake County traditional schools. November–March: Closed BOAT RENTAL FEES Boat Type Fee Pedal boat (4 person) $8 per ½ hour Rowboat $8 per hour Fishing Boat (rowboat $18 first hour; with trolling motor) $8 per additional hour Canoe/Kayak $8 per hour Sailboat $12 per hour Private Boats Private boats may be used on Bond Lake during regular boat rental hours. Restrictions apply. Daily Boat Launch Fee $4 per boat Season Launch Pass $30 per boat Challenge Course The Challenge Course is an outdoor learning facility that encourages individuals and groups to see their potential through a progression of challenging activities that foster personal growth and improved teamwork. Low Course programs are located on or near the ground and focus on teambuilding, problem solving, and fun. High Course programs take place at heights up to 35 feet and offer challenges that include swinging bridges, cable walks, rope swings, a zip line, and more. Programs are great for schools, scouts, sports teams, birthday parties, family fun, and corporate events. A minimum group size is eight people (age 10 & up).
