PART TWO HALF DAY CAMPS 40 REGISTER ONLINE: classweb.townofcary.org Fishing (age 11–16) Learn the basics of freshwater fishing. Topics include angling for bass, bluegills, catfish, carp, and more. Learn proper way to bait hooks with a variety of bait and learn the basics of casting with fly rods, close-faced reels, and cane poles. Cleaning and cooking your catch are also discussed. Bring your own rod/reel, but equipment will be provided. Location: Fred G. Learn more advanced fishing techniques, including fishing with artificial baits and fishing from boats, as well as more traditional bank fishing. Anglers are invited to bring their own gear, but basic fishing gear will be provided if needed. Prior fishing experience is not required. Location: Fred G. The camp will refresh the basics of fishing on Bond Lake, before traveling to other lakes in the area for the rest of the program. Transportation for program is included. From the teambuilding low course to the adventurous high course, work as a team to accomplish goals, play on the high course, and have fun. This is an outdoor camp that may be impacted by weather.
