The CTP staff has created a comprehensive pathway for children of all ages and abilities, providing the necessary skills and introducing them to an active lifestyle through the sport of tennis. The CTP Player Development Program emphasizes competition and training formats tailored to the age of the child. Each of the classes listed in this section will incorporate the following four components: • Independent racquet and ball coordination — participants will work individually on hand-eye coordination skills • Cooperative training — participants will work together to develop basic rally skills • Technical skill development — participants will learn fundamental strokes and footwork skills • Interactive games and play. Make-ups will be scheduled and/or credits issued if classes are cancelled by Cary Tennis Park (CTP). Classes that are cancelled while in progress and have completed 50% or more of the session will not be rescheduled. CTP is not responsible for classes missed due to student conflicts.
