Come early for a seat or pack your own chair. Food and leashed pets are permitted, but please leave alcoholic beverages at home. Wood Robinson's New Formal Saturday, June 9 | 7 p.m. | Free Wood Robinson brings together his jazz roots and the storytelling he learned touring the country with his band Mipso. His 2016 album, Wood Robinson's New Formal, is the soundtrack to a road trip, a collection of stories witnessed through a van window while crossing the country on tour. All-Nite Public Radio Saturday, July 14 | 7 p.m. | Free ANPR is a jazz fusion band with roots in Durham, NC. The members bring over 122 combined years of experience to the stage. The band is a sounding board: a place where the band members can create whatever they feel, however they feel. Their music is authentic and tasteful. Shana Tucker Saturday, August 11 | 7 p.m. | Free Shana Tucker is a singer-songwriter and cellist who credits her genre-bending ChamberSoul journey to the influences of her jazz and classical roots interwoven with '80s and '90s pop music, movie soundtracks, and world music. Shana has opened for internationally acclaimed artist Norah Jones, Lisa Fisher, the Blind Boys of Alabama, and many more. Starlight Concert Series Starlight Concerts are a lively series of free concerts that feature musical styles from around the world and across the musical spectrum. All concerts are in the gardens of the Page-Walker Arts & History Center. Bring a blanket and a picnic dinner, but please leave pets at home. Dessert food trucks will be present at select concerts. Polka Plus Band Friday, May 18 | 7 p.m. | Free Roll Out the Barrel for the annual Yankovic Day celebration with Polka Plus Band! In 1997, America's Polka King Frankie Yankovic performed with the band for the 2nd annual concert, and two decades later, the band keeps his music alive. Celebration of Bluegrass Friday, June 22 | 6 p.m. | Free For the eighth year, the Town of Cary partners with the Piedmont Council of Traditional Music (PineCone) to present Bluegrass Camp, teaching guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and songwriting. Hear the young musicians in action at 6 p.m. Stay to hear Diamond Creek, a band from here in the Triangle playing distinctive and modern, yet traditionally- rooted, bluegrass music. Brynmor Friday, July 27 | 7 p.m. | Free Meaning "great hill" in Welsh, Brynmor plays traditional Welsh and Irish Celtic tunes, with upbeat Celtic rock thrown in. Featuring fiddle, Irish tenor banjo, flute, guitar, and vocals for a fun evening, we welcome Brynmor in their Starlight Concert debut! Jamrock Friday, August 10 | 7 p.m. | Free Starlight Concert favorite, Jamrock, returns to fill the air with their authentic reggae rhythms. Rock out with "Yard Style" reggae, including Lovers Rock, Oldies, Dancehall, and Roots music. Celebrate the band's Jamaican influence and origins at the final Starlight Concert of the season.
