VISUAL ARTS PART TWO 36 REGISTER ONLINE: classweb.townofcary.org Metals & Jewelry Concentration (age 16 & up) Take your work to the next level! Refine your metalworking skills focusing on design and construction. Students will design and develop new projects of interest, tackling projects such as band ring designs, cabochon stone setting, and small objects. Prerequisite: Beginning Metals class. Techniques such as Battal, come and go, comb, hearts, flowers, and abstract designs will be taught. All supplies are included. Learn color mixing resulting in a basic color wheel. A simple landscape design will help you draw with perspective. Learn basic painting techniques to create your landscape painting. Successful completion of a Beginning Metals class qualifies students to purchase a Metals Studio Card to access the studio and use the equipment to work on individual projects.
