Beginning Band (age 11 & up) Are you interested in joining the band? Learn the basics of reading music and how to play and care for the flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, trumpet, and trombone. This class is taught by a 30-year veteran of Wake County Schools band program. Participants must provide instrument and purchase method book. Learn how to accompany yourself, play scales and melodies, read music, and play songs by ear in this fun course. An acoustic guitar and Guitar Method 1 by Aaron Stang required. No prior guitar experience necessary. Are you ready to take your playing to the next level? Try new songs with exercises in rhythm, melody, harmony, and listening, while studying form, expression, and timbre. Dance Mix Workshop: Choreography Intensive (age 11–17) Brush up your technique and explore dynamic, interesting choreography in various dance styles.
