SPECIALIZED RECREATION PART TWO 88 REGISTER ONLINE: classweb.townofcary.org Shine Yoga Teens & Adults (age 11 & up) These specialized recreation yoga classes are for anyone with a disability. Modifications will be provided to individuals who may have physical limitations. Classes are low-impact and great for beginners. They will focus on breathing, movement, and relaxation to promote overall health and well-being. Location: Cary Senior Center Instructor: Diana Taggart, shine Yoga, llc. Fees: $27(R) $35(N) (3 classes) MANDALAS Did you know that mandalas means circle? Come learn more about mandalas through movement and crafts. 115023 Wed Jun 6–27 6:30–7:30 p.m. (no class Jun 13) KINDNESS Learn about what it means to be kind not only to others, but to yourself through yoga games and activities. 115021 Wed Jul 11–25 6:30–7:30 p.m. ME, MYSELF, AND I Come celebrate the things that make you special and unique. 115022 Wed Aug 1–15 6:30–7:30 p.m. Cardio Dance2 (age 11 & up) Join us for dancing in the evening! This cardio workout is a dance and fitness combination that is fast paced, easy to follow, and guaranteed to make you sweat to the rocking music! Location: Cary Senior Center Instructor: Laura Gnewuch Fees: $16(R) $21(N) (4 classes) 115025 Mon Jul 16–Aug 6 6:30–7:15 p.m. Culinary Cake Decorating for All (age 11 & up) Have your cake, decorate it, and eat it, too! This class offers tips to create truly splendid cupcakes. All supplies are provided, including a cake box to take your beautiful cupcakes home in. Location: Middle Creek Community Center Instructor: Nancy Chinnock Fees: $26(R) $34(N) (1 class) FLORAL CUPCAKES Learn the technique of piping buttercream flowers. You'll create a colorful floral design to adorn the cupcakes. Then, take them home to share with family and friends. 114121 Sat Jun 2 10 a.m.–noon Cooking Is Fun (age 11 & up) Learn the basics of meal preparation, cooking, and clean- up with easy-to-follow recipes. Then, this class is for you! This cardio workout is a dance fitness combination that is set to popular music. Go at your own pace. Location: Herbert C. Early registration allows us time to plan appropriately. Often, we can accommodate those on waiting lists by adding additional spots in the class or adding additional classes.
