What's New in Windows 10 FREE Windows 10 is a new operating system for personal computers, lap tops, notebooks and tablets. Windows 10 incorporates features from Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 with new and enhanced features. This hands-on workshop will demonstrate the new and enhanced features found in Windows 10 using the keyboard and mouse. This course is not for beginners, requires basic computer skills. Location: Classroom 302 113546 Wed Jul 18 1:30–4 p.m. Computer Skills 1 for Windows 10 Let's explore and learn the basics of Windows 10 in this new essential class! This course introduces you to the basics of computing and provides extensive practice using the mouse and the keyboard. You are introduced to and use the WordPad and the Paint applications programs. This course is intended for those with minimum or no experience using a computer. A student Flash Drive is needed. Location: Media Room Fees: $30(R) $39(N) (6 classes) 113545 M/T/W/Th/F Jun 18–25 9:30 a.m.-noon c Computer Learning Computer Skills 2 for Windows 10 This course will teach you how to organize and manipulate all kinds of files and folders (documents, pictures, music, etc.) so that you can easily retrieve them. You will also gain an understanding of accounts and privilege in Windows 10. You can customize the look of the computer for each account user. We will also teach you the workings of Windows 10" Start Menu" and the new File Explorer. A student Flash Drive is needed. Location: Media Room Fees: $20(R) $25(N) (4 classes) 113544 M/T/W/Th Jul 9–12 9:30 a.m.-noon Exploring Windows 10 This course explores the features of Windows 10 and how Windows 10 differs from previous versions of Windows. You will learn how to customize the Desktop, Start Menu, and Task Bar, and how to tailor the appearance and behavior of Windows 10 to suite your needs. You should have basic knowledge of Windows before taking this class. A flash drive is needed. Location: Media Room Fees: $20(R) $25(N) (4 classes) 115126 M/T/W/Th Jul 16-19 Computer Skills 3 for Windows 10 This class is for those who have mastered basic Computer Skills 1 & 2 (or have equivalent experience). We will discuss searching the internet with search engines such as Bing, using Gmail and setting up an account, and basic MS Office applications including: Word (word processing), Power Point (slide show presentations), and Excel (basic spreadsheets). A student flash drive is needed.
