16 Summer 2018 Cary Senior Center Beyond the Weeds Garden Series FREE Calling all beginner and experienced gardeners, you'll really dig these programs. This series will focus on a variety of gardening topics from working with certain plants to composting to planting for the season and much more. Come bloom with us! NATIONAL GARDEN WEEK EDUCATION We are pulling together all the great gardening minds in the Town of Cary to share with you information about the Town's amazing parks and greenways program, the beautiful gardens, the Cary Garden Club, Stevens Nature Center, and much more! This celebration of the National Garden Week certainly brings it close to home, our home, the Town of Cary! 114816 Fri Jun 8 1–3 p.m. WATER WISEGARDENS Learn about the water wise demonstration gardens at the State Fairgrounds and Lake Crabtree County Park. Also learn about waterwise pollinator gardens. Presenter: Trish MacPherson, Wake Co. Master Gardener 114814 Fri Jul 20 1–3 p.m. GARDENING FOR CURB APPEAL Even if you are not interested in selling your home yet, learn how to improve the overall look from the road. When you want to sell, your house will be ready for the big day. Join our staff at this meeting to gain all your answers. 113506 Tue Jul 24 10–11:30 a.m. AARP Driver Safety Program Learn proven safety driving strategies to keep you safe while on the road. A review of safety rules of the road, knowing your vehicles and common sense driving tips to compensate for physical and cognitive changes that come with aging. The classroom course costs $15.00 for AARP members and $20.00 non-members. All participants pay $15.00 at registration (non-members pay an additional $5.00 to the instructor on day of class). After taking of the course, you may be eligible for a discount on your automobile insurance.
